Scalability

Two-way satellite solutions can replace, extend or complement your communications networks. Designed to grow with your business; migrate to a fully customised, private WAN without changing remote site hardware. Satellite networks are much less costly to deploy, maintain and operate than terrestrial alternatives. Terrestrial networks typically require heavy infrastructure for broadband data networks (such as DSL, ISDN and cable). High overhead costs for these infrastructures are passed on to the customer. In remote areas where such infrastructure does not exist, the expense of building such networks is often prohibitive, in developing and developed countries alike.

Range of services

Many years of experience have enabled Satlynx to build a range of services that deliver what our customers have asked for. Whether broadband Internet Access, remote access to corporate offices, customised network solutions, backup services to complement terrestrial infrastructure or transportable solutions for business on the move, Satlynx can deliver you a service that will meet your needs.

Disaster recovery

The configuration of hub and end user sites allows multiple options for disaster recovery and back-up of either the satellite network itself, or of individual sites with satellite paths that complement terrestrial networks.

Timely Deployment and Installation

Satellite networks can be rolled out to hundreds or thousands of locations in a fraction of the time required for a comparable terrestrial network

Satellite Broadband and Communications

Satellite Broadband

Satellite is not just a means to receive a thousand channels of TV. It is a viable alternative to traditional terrestrial broadband, private networks and telecommunications. Satellite also has some key advantages and unique features over the alternatives:

Complete Coverage

Available at any location with a clear view of the sky. Satlynx are already operating more than 12,000 VSATs in over 70 countries worldwide. Satellite is the only broadband wide-area network technology that is available everywhere - in cities, suburbs and the most remote urban and rural areas, anywhere in the world. By contrast terrestrial broadband technologies are limited in their coverage area. These broadband technologies, such as DSL, ISDN and cable networks reach only a limited percentage of homes and businesses.

High performance

Leveraging the reach and power of satellite, two-way satellite platforms provide high-performance networking and telephony between a central hub and potentially thousands of locations across a wide geographical area and at speeds normally associated with global trunking. With Satlynx' unique quality of service management tools and policies we are able to ensure the highest quality and performance on our shared networks.

Secure and Reliable

Inherently secure and ideal for private, government or armed forces, satellite communications uses access schemes that change in frequency and time, techniques usually employed in military applications as anti-jamming measures. Security measures also protect the user's identity; including exact location, signalling and data traffic. Additional IPSec security provides confidentiality, data origin authentication, data integrity, anti-replay and access control. Reliability comes as standard as satellites are multi-billion dollar investments that are designed for a long life in space. Additionally, network security is designed into all our customised and bespoke solutions and are a feature of our shared platforms too.
